Bicycles are on the road!

What to know to keep everybody safe, whether you're on one or sharing the road with them...

It's summertime, and bicycles are on the road! Bicyclists have the right to use public roads in Massachusetts except express state highways or any roadways where signs prohibiting bicycles are posted.   When riding a bicycle on a public way, you must obey the same basic traffic laws and regulations that apply to motor vehicle drivers, but there are some additional safety guidelines:

It's National Dog Bite Prevention Week®!

Any dog - even a familiar dog - can bite. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), a non-profit advocate for the veterinary profession, works to raise awareness about the steps that can be taken to prevent dog bite injuries.  Over half of the 800,000 people requiring medical attention for dog bites in the U.S. every year are children.

Is your lunch making you sick?

Is your lunch making you sick?  Blue Bell Ice Cream, a Texas-based maker of frozen snacks including ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sherbet, recently announced recalls for many of its products.  The federal Food and Drug Administration is investigating reports that the Blue Bell products involved contained listeria.

t's one of the things that crosses everyone's mind from time to time: What if I'm in an accident?
