The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), a non-profit advocate for the veterinary profession, works to raise awareness about the steps that can be taken to prevent dog bite injuries.  Over half of the 800,000 people requiring medical attention for dog bites in the U.S. every year are children.

Is your lunch making you sick?

Is your lunch making you sick?  Blue Bell Ice Cream, a Texas-based maker of frozen snacks including ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sherbet, recently announced recalls for many of its products.  The federal Food and Drug Administration is investigating reports that the Blue Bell products involved contained listeria.
